Open Classical At Buon Giorno Coffee

If you like open-mic, I highly recommend the Open Classical at Buon Giorno Coffee in Fort Worth.  I was lucky enough to get some press by showing up with my latest guitar and giving it a 15 minute workout on stage!  StarTelegram2Yes I played and was later interviewed for the Star Telegram.  It is a great venue with some real talent giving their best vocals, guitar solos and more! Baritone Ukulele Flamed Hawaiian Koa #2015-22

The owner of this instrument has decided to upgrade and therefore has put this ukulele up for sale.  To inquire please contact Robert Hicks at 214-724-3700 or email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

This baritone ukulele is a first for me and the buyer was very impressed with the way it looks and sounds!  The customer who commissioned this instrument wanted a nice bass response and a sound that resembled a nice classical guitar, which was achieved.  I made the back sides of Hawaiian Flamed Koa, as well as the bindings.  The koa really has some nice highlights!  The sound board is western red cedar, a great choice both for looks and sound.  In addition it is trimmed in abalone shell on the edges of the soundboard and the sound port to simulate a rosette.  The buyer requested an electronic pickup to be installed and I also used some nice Rubner Ukulele Black Nickel/Ebony tuners to set off the Hawaiian Koa headstock.
