New WR Model! Aztec/Serrano

I am very proud to announce the latest guitar model, The Aztec/Serrano Concert Classical Guitar. This guitar was commissioned by JeHeel Cap with Sap Woodsus Serrano a very good friend of mine. Jesus Serrano is a guitar virtuoso from Mexico City and has won 1st place at many international guitar competitions. When Jesus approached me with the idea of a new guitar model, I became very eager to hear his ideas. This turned into a months-long enjoyable collaboration to design one of the best guitars I have ever built thus far.

Open Classical At Buon Giorno Coffee

If you like open-mic, I highly recommend the Open Classical at Buon Giorno Coffee in Fort Worth.  I was lucky enough to get some press by showing up with my latest guitar and giving it a 15 minute workout on stage!  StarTelegram2Yes I played and was later interviewed for the Star Telegram.  It is a great venue with some real talent giving their best vocals, guitar solos and more!

Spruce/Cedar Double Top with Aged Cocobolo Back and Sides (sold)

This is a double top model.  It is a spruce top with cedar underneath.  Some of my best woods went straight into this guitar!  I started this new model because I wanted to find a way to make my guitars more even in sound.  I was also looking for a darker sound in the basses with the bright trebles everyone seems to love in my traditional tops.  I also wanted even more sound that will travel across a big concert hall effortlessly. This guitar has met and exceeded those goals.  The instrument has a very nice depth in tone and color, is easy to push, and pull back when needed. It is very reactive to a players hands.  A great guitar for even the most demanding musician that wants a concert guitar or is in need of a guitar for competitions.  The sound is complimented by the details and color of the guitar from the dark Cocobolo back and sides to the wheat motif specially made for this model.  I used laminated sides which give the guitar more focus in sound toward the audience and produces a quick responsiveness to the instrument.  I also redesigned the head of the guitar with a focus on how the strings enter the tuners so no strings touch wood, which allows more sustain in the instrument. The new head shape complements the V joint on the back of the neck nicely.  She is a pleasure to play!  Take a look at the pictures in the Gallery link below!
