Chaz Aguado

ChazAguadoChaz Aguado is an active musician and teacher in Frederick County, Baltimore County, and Washington County. He first began learning guitar at the age of 12 while studying with Aaron Jay Myers. Although he is primarily a classical guitarist, his roots began from learning the electric guitar. As a teenager he was heavily influenced by rock and metal guitarists such as John Petrucci, Zakk Wylde, Slash, and James Hetfield. As he continued to take lessons he began to take more interest in classical guitar because of the virtuosic performers such as Manuel Barrueco and David Russell. As his love for music and passion for the guitar grew he knew that a career in music by performing and teaching was all that he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
Mr. Aguado is a doctoral candidate of classical guitar at Shenandoah Conservatory with a Master’s Degree from University of Denver and a Bachelor’s degree at Towson University. He has been teaching guitar privately for 10 years and is an adjunct guitar instructor at Carroll Community College.
